L-19 Birddog Restoration

Currently we are restoring my L-19 Birddog. We have a long way to go and it may not look like much now but when we’re finished it will be a beautiful airplane. That’s me posing for a picture over the holidays. I actually did do some work on it but in this photo I’m just playing with one of the rear windows.

The plan is to blog the entire restoration process from stripping the interior, to deciding on the paint scheme. I hope that by the time we get to some critical decisions, like what color to paint it, that we have a few Birddog people reading the site and ready to offer their opinion.

For now, much like the Birddog, we are just getting started. So, I’ll do a little more work on this page and post some more pictures as we get things ramped up.
